Paid a visit to the Best of Britain and Ireland 2010 show at Olympia last Friday. The hall was about 75% full of exhibits, and the gallery was not used. What was disappointing was that during an early afternoon visit there was not many visitors. Unlike quite a few few other exhibitions, including the Ideal Home show which started the following day, I had not seen any local publicity (especially on the London Underground escalators).
I found out because of the visit of the Welsh Highland Railway Pullman Observation carriage. The stand was laid out to allow visitors to walk through the carriage.
By next Saturday it will be back on its rails and carrying passengers from Caernarfon to Beddgelert and through the Aberglaslyn Pass.
