Whilst following Shaun in the City, Bitzer’s Trail in mid April, we came across this little gem of a market in the City of London whilst locating Shanghai Shaun.

Leadenhall Market is one of the oldest markets in London dating back to the fourteenth century. The current building was designed by Sir Horace Jones, who was also responsible for Billingsgate and Smithfield Markets. In 1990/91 the decoration was revised and that is what we saw.

As you can see from the picture here, the 1990/91 decoration has picked out the architectural detail of the roof.
